Drew this the other evening... first real attempt at a person in a traditional medium. Didn't come out tooooo badly, I think, especially as I don't draw people very often/well in general.

Gentle critique is very much appreciated, though with emphasis on the word GENTLE. I am a delicate soul. :P

One great thing is the symmetry of the face. It isn't lop-sided, or if it slightly is, it isn't noticeable, and that's difficult to achieve. The one thing that stands out the most as needing improvement is the proportions of the shoulders versus the head. This tutorial has a good layout for basic anatomy, but obviously not everyone is to this exact measurement! [link]

Keep practicing! Realism is so hard. You did really well. :)

Ooh, that tutorial is very helpful, thanks m'dear!

I'm glad the face doesn't look overly lop-sided, that's something I ALWAYS have trouble with. Grrgrr. haha.

I usually have a reference when I'm trying realism, too, which I didn't exactly, this time around. So that was fun. :D

Thanks for the commentttt <33333

You're welcome! I find it very difficult to work from a reference. I prefer to make people up, that way as long as the person looks like a real person, rather than looking like a specific person, it's totally okay! I also have problems with lop-sidedness! XD
